I planted sweet corn the weekend after Mother's Day, unfortunetly I forgot how long it takes to harvest, so what are the ways to tell the corn is ready?

Different varieties have different lengths of time to maturity beginning with "extra early" at maybe 70 days; the estimate should be on the seed packet. The best way to tell for sure is to give it the thumbnail test. The juice should be milky looking rather than clear and your finger nail should slice into it with just a little pressure. You will also see the ears swelling and the silk will turn darker.
