Saving the seeds is pretty straightforward, but keep in mind that the seeds may not produce the same quality of pepper as you started with and may not even be viable, depending on the variety you started with. To try it, select the best peppers on the best plants to use for seeds. Let them ripen on the plant until they are so ripe they are wrinkling. Then harvest, take out the seeds, dry them thoroughly in a single layer on a piece of paper, then package them in an air tight container such as a plastic bag or jar with a lid. Label and store in the refrigerator or other cool dark place until next spring. Good luck with your seeds!
