The seed packs some times have about a zillion seeds. If I can't use them all in one season how long and how should I store them?

Seeds can last several years if properly stored. Place your seed packets into a jar, close the lid tight, and store it in a cool, dark area. I keep my seeds on the floor of a seldom used closet and they remain fresh for 2-3 years.
