I'm a researcher in Miami University and I need to growth spinach for experiments on oil composition. I tried to grow them in the growth chamber but all the time they looked very miserable, small and pale green. The temperature was 22 C -18 C with 15 hrs of light. Can you give me some suggestions?
I'd really's month that I'm stuck with my experiments because of this.

Spinach does best in cool temperatures of about 60 to 70 degrees F. It needs a rich soil with ample nitrogen and a pH between 6.0 and 6.5 with even moisture (not sopping wet soil) to grow quickly. You might also try another variety... it germinates best at about 70 degrees F. Good luck!
