|I'm a researcher in Miami University and I need to growth spinach for experiments on oil composition. I tried to grow them in the growth chamber but all the time they looked very miserable, small and pale green. The temperature was 22 C -18 C with 15 hrs of light. Can you give me some suggestions?
I'd really appreciate..it's month that I'm stuck with my experiments because of this.
|Spinach does best in cool temperatures of about 60 to 70 degrees F. It needs a rich soil with ample nitrogen and a pH between 6.0 and 6.5 with even moisture (not sopping wet soil) to grow quickly. You might also try another variety... it germinates best at about 70 degrees F. Good luck!|
