I would like the to know the best growing conditions for my new plant and the size it will be. |
PeeGee Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata) grows quite large at maturity, expect about ten feet tall and wide although it can grow bigger than that. Plant it in full sun or partial shade. It prefers an evenly moist soil that is well drained, meaning not soggy. It will grow best in a rich soil with a high humus content but it is fairly adaptable to average conditions. It grows quickly once established. If you need to prune it, prune it in late winter or early spring because it blooms on the new wood of the season. |
