Do the gaillardia plants look like tomato plants?

Gaillardia plants have a somewhat similar leaf to tomatoes, now that I think about it. Slightly hairy and a bit variable in shape. The plant should grow as a spreading crown, however, rather than as an upright vining plant. I hope this helps.
