We have a three well established wisterias (they flower profusely in the spring and continue sparcely through the summer). They need to be moved away from the house. Can they be moved successfully? When should we move them and how?

In my experience these are very difficult to move completely because their roots are very persistent and will resprout repeatedly. If you try to move them, cut them back and take as large a root ball as possible, replant immediately and treat them as you would a new plant, being careful to keep them watered until they are reestablished. Early spring would be the best time to do this.
