Bowling Green, KY
|I am a 4th grade teacher who is in the process of teaching about plants. We are going to plant seeds outside in a garden and I was wondering which seeds would actually grow during the month of September in Kentucky. (We are studying the affects of fertilizing vs no fertilizing)

|You might try peas since they will germinate and grow in cool weather, as will spinach or lettuce. Note that the peas might germinate better if you use an inoculant; this is usually available wherever seeds are sold.
