|I have silver mound planted in my front yard and it is getting patchy and thinning to the point of seeing the ground and "stems" through the middle....what can I do about that if anything?

|This is rather typical of this plant during hot and humid weather or a moist season. You can trim away the damaged parts in mid to late summer; it is unsightly but it should grow back with fresh healthy foliage and stems. Be sure the plant is in well drained soil and avoid wetting the foliage, especially in the evening.
