This allium (also sometimes listed as A. siculum) is easy to grow as are most bulbs. It needs a location in full sun with well drained or even relatively dry soil, so select a location where the soil does not get soggy after rain. A slight slope would be ideal. If the bulb came with planting instructions, follow those. In general, to plant a bulb you would loosen the soil above and below the bulb and plant it at a depth of about three to four times its diameter -- measure the depth to the top of the bulb so it is planted deep enough. If you wish, apply bulb fertilizer according to the label instructions. Replace the soil and water well to settle it. Mark the location so you do not accidently damage or disturb the bulb between now and when it appears next spring. Enjoy!
