Which impatiens types would you suggest for dense shade, under a large maple tree, ect.?? thank you |
In my experience, all types of impatiens do well in deep shade. They will not do well however planted in the ground in competition with a large maple tree. The trees roots rob the soil of moisture and nutrients and the canopy shields the soil from rain. For this reason, I would suggest using large containers such as half barrels filled with the impatiens to provide ample color in that type of location. |
