How deep should liatris "corms" be planted? Do they have specific fertilizer and or lime requirements?

The corm-like roots should be planted only one-inch deep. Space them 6"-8" apart in moist, but well-drained soil. Liatris tolerates a wide range of soils and has no specific acidity or alkalinity requirements. For best bloom, feed in the spring with a 10-10-10 all-purpose garden fertilizer.
