|Is there any way to protect my outdoor hanging plants over the winter since I don't have room in my house to hang them?|
|To some extent the answer depends on what kind(s) of plants you have. Some are annuals and will not perform well for another season, some are perennials (such as geraniums) and can be kept.
If you are unable to keep them in active growth you can try keeping them in a semi-dormant state. Store them in a cool location and keep the soil just barely moist. Do not fertilize. They will probably defoliate. In spring, bring the plants into the light, begin watering and fertilizing again. Some plants will respond well to this treatment, others will not.
