What kind of container is necesary to grow Big Boy tomatoes?

I assume you are referring to Bush Big Boy. Tomatoes need a consistent soil moisture, so I recommend using as large as pot as is feasible in your situation, at least a 15-gallon, but larger if possible. That way the soil will be less likely to dry out. Plastic is lighter, of course, and it also retains water better than clay. Put it up on wheels so you can move it around if needed. Finally, as a general rule, smaller tomato sizes, such as Early Girl and Celebrity, perform better in the low desert. That doesn't mean you can't try the big ones, though! Good luck!
