I was given a kiwi about 4 years ago. I was told it produced grape size fruit with no pollinator. Can you tell me what kind of vine I have and if I do indeed need a pollinator, as I have yet to get any fruit. Thank you

If the fruits are produced in clusters and have a smooth, rather than hairy skin, you have the hardy kiwi (Actinidia arguta). If the leaves are tinged with pink and white, you have Arctic Beauty (Actinidia kolomikta). Whichever you have, these plants do, indeed, require a pollinizer. (All kiwi's do.) It's difficult to know which is male and which is female, except by comparing the flowers. When it does produce flowers, take one to a knowledgeable nursery person and ask for help.
