I MISSED PLANTING MY DAFODILS AND TULIPS OUTDOORS. CAN I GROW THEM IN MY BASEMENT IN POTS AND WHEN SHOULD I PLANT THEM. SHOULD THEY BE KEPT COOL AND MOIST.

They need to be kept cool (not freezing, but cool) while they root and prepare to bloom. The soil should be moist but not soaking wet. Once roots have formed (for tulips this may take 4 months) and you can see them coming out of the pots, then bring them into a bright location to begin top growth. In spring, you can plant them in the garden before or after they bloom.
