My daughter loves dried apples and I'd like to know how we can make some together.

Apples (also pears and peaches) can be dried in several hours. You can peel, core, and thinly slice the apples, and your daughter can arrange them in a single layer on cookie sheets. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F, then turn the oven off and place the cookie sheets on the center rack. You may need to reheat the oven for a few minutes every hour or so. Turn the slices over when they become wrinkled, and remove them from the oven when they feel dry. Your daughter can be in charge of sealing them in plastic bags. And of eating them, of course.
