I have come across some burpee seeds i purchased last year, and the year before. Are they still any good, and if so for how long.

The answer to your question depends to some extent on what they are and how you have stored them. Seed viability decreases over time even under the bestof conditions, and some seeds are naturally very short lived while others may last up to five years or more. You might want to try testing some to see what the germination rate is. Place a sample of seeds from the packet on a damp paper towel and enclose it in plastic wrap. Set it in a warm, bright location but out of direct sun. Check for germination and see if the percentage is acceptable. If not, replace the seeds.
