helppppppp!
Is there a flower that slugs will not eat?
Every spring I plant something different and these little
creatures seem to just like everything.
I have had this problem now for 3 yrs....tried everything
possible to get rid of them....with no success.
I may put artificial ones out this year....just kidding!
Any help on this problem would be appreciated.
Thank you......no flowers in Maryland...karly*****

I wish there were a list of plants that slugs avoid, but they're likely to try most anything growing in the garden. They tend to avoid plants with leathery leaves, hairy leaves, and leaves with ridges or downward curls. In my garden, they stay away from Lady's Mantle, Lewisia, Rudbeckia, Astilbe and Heather. While it's not an extensive list, these plants will look better than artificial flowers! Good luck in your war against slugs!
