|Is there anything I can do to stop or slow down my fruit trees, from producing so much fruit??
|There's really no easy way for homeowners to stop fruit production. If you prune heavily and selectively, you can remove the fruiting spurs from apple, pear and peach trees. Spurs are short, thickened shoots that carry clusters of flowers. You can easily identify the spurs if you wait until the trees are in flower. An alternative to stopping your trees from producing fruit is to invite a local youth group to harvest the fruit and donate it to a food bank, soup kitchen, or other favorite charity.|
