If the plants are outdoors, they may be suffering some winter damage due to sun reflecting off of snow and/or exposure to excess sun and drying winds. The plants shouled grow replacement leaves this coming summer.

If the plants are indoors, they may be suffering from spider mites. These pests leave little webs underneath the foliage and thrive in warm, dry indoor conditions. They can be controlled with insecticidal soap and occasional rinses in a spray of plain water. Increasing humidity can also help reduce their population. Additional possible reasons for browning foliage on indoor ivy plants might include over or under watering, placement in front of a cold or warm draft source, overfertilizing or misapplication of a pesticide. I hope this helps you troubleshoot the problem.
