Pruning Passion Vine - Knowledgebase Question

Last spring we planted a passion vine on a trellis and it grew well. Now the bottom half is completely devoid of leaves, but there appears to be new growth on the top. Do we need to cut this back to spur new growth this spring or should we just leave it as is?

It's generally recommended to let them grow two years before cutting back. Then you can cut back to the base or back to major branch crotches to help keep the plant from becoming overly tangled and overgrown.
