I have received several custard apple seeds from the Middle East and need information on growing them. I need to know how big they get and how long before they bear fruit also whether they will grow outdoors in my area. Thank you |
Unfortunately, custard apple (Annona cherimola x A. squamosathis) is a tropical/subtropical tree and as such can only be grown in this country in frost-free areas such as southern Florida. The tree grows to over 30 feet tall, trees grown from seed bear fruit in about four years, and the fruit takes 5 to 8 months to ripen! |
