I live in montreal, Canada and purchased a blue Plumbago last summer. My question is: How do I care for it during the winter before I take it out for the summer again.

Plumbago makes a lovely houseplant. It's a vigorous climber (or trailing plant), prefers bright light with some direct sun and cool to average household temperatures. The secret to success is to keep it cool throughout the winter and early spring, water sparingly in winter but keep the soil moist at all times from spring through fall, and cut back the old shoots in early spring to promote new growth. As soon as nighttime temperatures remain above 50F you can take your plumbago back outdoors. Be sure to gradually acclimate it to outdoor living again by putting it in a protected place during the day and bringing it back in at night. After about a week of this treatment it should be ready to stay out both day and night.
