|What plants do good in an indoor environment? I would like to have a plant at work, but unfortunately I do not have a window that I can put a plant by. Currently I only have bamboo (which does really well), but I would like to have other plants or maybe some fruits or vegetables. Any suggestions?
|Fruits and vegetables can be coaxed to grow indoors, but only with bright light and some direct sunlight. I'm afraid flowering plants are out, considering the lack of direct sunlight in your office. On the other hand, there are several attractive indoor plants that thrive under low-light conditions. Wandering Jew and Philodendron, are decent choices, probably the best choices are Spider Plant, Sanseveria, Swedish Ivy, Pothos, Parlor Palm, Dieffenbachia, Chinese Evergreen, Cast Iron Plant (Aspidistra elatior), and Arrowhead Plant (Syngonium podophyllum).
