|I have a problem spot in my garden. My garden is in front of my house, facing West. We have one corner that really doesn't get any sun because of our front porch. This area is dark and damp and always grows mold. I would like to know what is the best plants or flowers to plant here because it looks bad being so bare.

|Some easy to grow plants to consider for a difficult shady and moist spot would be hosta and ferns, as well as the evergreen creeping and climbing vine English Ivy (Hedera helix). You might want to make sure that the overhanging gutter is not overflowing in that location and you might also want to work lots of organic matter into the soil prior to planting. This will help loosen the soil and encourage the roots to grow.
