Is it necessary to have grow lights when starting seeds? Will the sunlight be enough? Also can seeds be started and left in a regular pot/ meaning will not transplant?
Thank You,

In some cases window light is enough, but usually gardeners find that it is not bright enough to produce healthy seedlings. You could use a fluorescent shop light with a "warm" color bulb and a "cool" color bulb and get good results by keeping the bulb just an inch or two above the plants. Some gardeners do start their seeds directly in the small cell packs with good results and it does save a bit of time.
