I recently purchased a foxtail fern. It has new growth, but is starting to look yellowish. The foliage is dry. I have given it water, sunlight and fertilized it. I don't know what else to do. Any tips?

Ferns usually thrive when given rich, moist soil, high humidity, and some shade from hot sun. I'd move the plant to a shady spot and mist the leaves regularly. If the fronds continue to yellow and dry up, cut them back to encourage new growth. You may have over-fertilized, which can cause the foliage to turn crispy. If it's in a pot, leach excess salts out of the soil by flooding the soil with water and allowing it to drain, then flooding again 30 minutes later. Hope your fern perks up soon!
