I am planting two blueberry plants this year I received from Burpee....I would assume my soil is not acidic enough ... What could I buy to ensure that it is acidic enough for my plants to thrive?? |
Before you do any adjusting of the pH, you need to run some basic soil tests and find out the natural pH of your soil. Then you would add any needed amendments based on the results of the tests. In addition to needing an acid soil, blueberries also need a highly organic, evenly moist yet well draining soil. Your county extension (454-0900) should be able to help you with the soil tests and interpreting the results. |
