We have (had) a lovely patch of pachysandra which extended from an old stone wall into the lawn in a shady part of the property. My husband mowed over all the pachysandra when mowing the lawn last year (at the beginning of the summer). It didn't come back during the summer, will it this year or do I need to replant it all?

Pachysandra usually has one growth spurt a year in spring, so he may have mowed off the new growth for the year. This would have been stressful for the plants, but in my experience they may be able to recover and even come back thicker than ever. You might want to give them a top dressing of compost or possibly a complete fertilizer (such as 10-10-10) according to the label instructions sometime in March or April to give them a boost.
