|Do you carry Dryopteris Ludoviciana - common name "Florida Shield Fern"? I saw this in the August 2000 issue of Southern Living and am interested in this as it is suppose to be evergreen.|
|The Florida Shield Fern is native to areas with winter temperature minimums of about 50 degrees, and in colder areas where it may possibly survive it is not evergreen, so I don't think this will be what you want. You might try the evergreen Polystichum acrostichoides or Christmas Fern instead. It too prefers a shady and moist area. It is available from perennial specialists, garden centers and mail order catalogs such as Wayside Gardens, 1-800-845-1124.
