|My wife and I are buying our first house.
I want to start a garden so I purchased packets of your seeds. However, the info on the packets don't tell you how many seeds you should plant together.
Items I puchased : tomatos(better boy hybrid)
pepper(crispy hybrid, sweet)
cantaloupe(sweet'n early hybrid)
|Usually you would plant just a couple of seeds per cell, maybe half a dozen if you are the conservative type. Depending how many plants you want, you can also start numerous seeds (of one kind) in one four or six inch pot and then transplant the seedlings to individual cells or pots. Tomatoes and peppers would be seeded about eight weeks before your last frost date, melon only about two weeks ahead, and broccoli transplants would be set out about a month before the last frost, so they need to be started very early. Be sure to provide warmth for the peppers and tomatoes to germinate, the ideal temperature would be about 75 degrees or a bit higher. Then move them under lights as soon as they come up. Good luck with your new home and garden! Have fun!|
