I love your website. Do you only offer advise to the western part of the country? I printed your tuscan citrus container plan and your tuscany inspired terrace. Can I do this on Long Island N.Y.? Do you have a catalog you could send me? I also printed Nurseries that carry your plants in my area will they be able to order these plants for me? the plants mentioned are johnsons blue cranesbill/compact gold coin daisy/improved meyer lemon/lavender cotton/french lavender/tuscan; blue rosemary/brillancy rock rose/little ollie dwarf olive. If these plants will not grow in my region please suggest plants to replace each one to get the same look. I thank you so much and will be waiting for your reply. Unfortunately, most of the plants you listed are not hardy in your area with the exception of the cranesbill and the santolina. Lavender, rosemary and lemon can be grown as container plants and brought indoors for the winter, and the others could possibly be planted as annuals or in containers as well.

However, as with all pre-suggested garden plans, I would suggest you consult with your local garden center or nursery to see what they will have in stock and what they would suggest you use in combination to create the look you want.

Your plant selection would be determined first off by the growing conditions you have, including winter hardiness, sun, wind, soil type, soil moisture and so on, and then finding something that would thrive while meeting the aesthetic considerations.

Good luck with your Tuscan motif!
