I have lot of squirrels in my lawn. I like to hang bird feeders. Twice The squirrels have chewed my houses Cedar Siding to reach the feeders. I had to remove the feeders. I tried to hang methnol balls, but it did not help. What can I do to discourage these pests. I will be glad if I can get rid of them totally.

I like to have birds around. Please help. If i have to use some kind of spray please let me know how I should use it.

I was seeing ads of some electronic devices to get rid of them. I was scpetical about them because I do not know how safe they will be to plug outside as they do not seem closed in and it seems that rain or water can go in. It can be possible that the picture may be not showing that feature or there may be some better or safer products in the market.

need your help to get rid of these pests

Squirrels can be real pests. However, they are going to be attracted by the bird seed no matter what you do. Some people suggest setting out corn to distract the squirrels, so maybe that would work for you, too. Hanging the feeders at a distance from your house may be the easiest solution, possibly using the squirrel proof metal feeders with a weight sensitive perch which closes the feeder when a squirrel arrives. Alternatively there are repellent sprays on the market, labeled for animals including squirrels. I have no direct experience with the electronic devices, but I would probably try some less expensive methods first.
