Can you recommend a type of broccoli seed for growing edible sprouts? I have read about the sprouts cancer fighting chemicals. I have tried eating some store bought sprouts & they were quite edible.

Your best bet is to purchase seeds sold specially for sprouting; that way you ll be sure they haven t been treated with any fungicides. The following companies offer untreated seed for sprouting:

Johnny s Selected Seeds, Foss Hill Rd., Albion, ME 04910, ph# 207/437-4301

Territorial Seed Co. PO Box 157, Cottage Grove, OR 97424; ph# 541/942-9547

Seeds of Change, PO Box 15700, Santa Fe, NM 87506; ph# 1-888-762-7333
