Pumpkin Seeds - Knowledgebase Question

We just carved our pumpkin and would like to know how to save the seeds for planting next year. We have done nothing with them, except store the seeds and pulp in a bowl. Do we dry them? How should they be stored?

First of all, the fun part: separate the seeds from all that pulp. There's no quick way--just dig in! Once you have a bowlful of seeds, rinse them well and drain in a colander. Then spread the seeds out on a cookie sheet, and bake at about 325F. Stirthe seeds occasionally so they roast evenly, and check them every few minutes, so they don't burn. (If you'd like, you can sprinkle them with salt before roasting.)

Let them cool, and enjoy!
