|I have brown leaves on my azaleas and some limbs on the plant have died. Under the leaf I can see what look like very tiny black dots. Any ideas?|
|Most azaleas prefer a location that receives partial shade. If yours are in full sun, this may account for some of the browning. Also, the plants are susceptible to wind burn, especially on hot, dry, windy days.
There is also a condition simply called azalea dieback, which is caused by a number of different fungi. This dieback can be worse when the plants have been subjected to hot weather.
The black dots you see could be signs of disease, or of insect pests; it's hard to say.
