What is the best soil mixture for planting Amaryllis bulbs?

A good mixture for most potted bulbs is 1/3 quart commercial potting soil, 1/3 quart peat moss, 1/3 quart perlite or vermiculite, 1 teaspoon lime, and 1 teaspoon of a complete fertilizer, either organic or other slow release.
