|I have two Japanese Wisteria that I want to move. When would be the best time to do this and any advice?
|Wisteria are usually very deep rooted and have extensive root systems so they can be very difficult to move. It would be best to do it as early in the season as the soil can be worked, and trim the plants back to compensate for the roots lost in the process. Take as large a root ball as possible and replant immediately at the same depth they grew before. Treat them like any new plant this season, watering until they become reestablished. In my experience, it is better not to try to move them if possible.
