what is the hollow side of a tuberous begonia - the flat side or the rounded side - have never planted them before and need advise

The hollow side is the side you want to plant facing upward. When you look down at the tuber, you should see the dent or dimple on the flatter top looking back at you. more rounded or bulged out side would be downward.
