|I planted 2 Daphne Caorol Mackie shrubs. On the description and tips for growing it stated to prune the shrub after flowers are done. What does this mean.

|The reason for this is that the plant blooms on old wood produced last summer. The flower buds are already on the plant before the winter sets in. Allow the buds to open and bloom before pruning the plant each year. Prune (if needed) immediately after flowering, then do not prune again this season. This will allow the shrub to develop the blooming wood and consequently flower buds for next year. I hope this answers your question.
