Recently purchased Southern Charm Verbascum plants from you; but before I plant them, what pests are they susceptible to... and do deer like them? Am especially concerned about the deer ... as we have many here. Thanks.

Verbascum are not noted for any particular pest problems, but unfortunately, deer may eat them. In my experience, deer will learn to eat almost anything, especially if they are accustomed to browsing in a particular location or if they are under severe habitat pressure. Then too, they seem to stomp on the things they don't eat. You might look into using repellents or, more effective in the long run, a tall fence.
