Rose Pruning - Knowledgebase Question

I planted some rose bushes last year and have not pruned them yet. Is it too late (for this area) to prune them now? They have little leaves just starting on the canes.

Roses are usually pruned quite early in the spring before the leaves appear, but it really depends on what kind of roses you have. Hybrid teas are pruned fairly hard in the spring, and some of the landscape roses would also be given a light trimming in the spring to tidy them up. However, roses that bloom only once a year in the spring are not pruned until after they have bloomed.
