|You can plant your pansies now. Just stop in at your local garden center and they should have plenty of transplants available. Pansies can take cold temperatures down below 20F and survive, so you should be able to enjoy them into the middle of winter. To get them to survive until spring, you may have to mulch them with chopped leaves or bark mulch or protect them with a floating row cover during the coldest months (January and February). They really don't need any special fetilizing other than a handful of complete fertilizer placed inthe hole when planting. Keep the soil moist, but not soggy and enjoy the show.
