What is special or unique about the Girard breed of azalaes?

The Girard Hybrid Azaeleas have been bred especially for colder climates. Their bud hardiness ranges from -5 to -15 Degrees F. Of course this is a real plus for Midwest gardeners who often loose their azalea blooms to cold winters.
