My new Dogwood tree was girdled all around the base by voles or mice this past winter. Is there anything I can do to safe it? Thanks Lynne

Sadly, a tree that has been girdled completely usually does not survive. The best you can do is make sure it is mulched and watered to keep the soil moist but not soggy, but in probability it is not going to help much. I'm sorry about your tree.
