In planting a garden, I have limited space and consequently do not use all of the seeds in a packet. Someone told me to store the unused ones until next season in the freezer otherwise they probably wouldn't grow. Someone else told me the refrigerator was better for seeds and bulbs. Can you clarify how I should preserve what isn't going to be used this year? |
Many seeds will keep for another year (some for longer than that) if stored dry and at an even temperature. Putting them in a closed container in the refrigerator usually works quite well. Most bulbs however will not store for an entire year, especially under home storage conditions. |
