|I've just purchased two pussywillow plants. Before planting them I'd like to know how large to expect them to grow.
|Pussywillows (Salix species) grow to about 6 to 10 feet tall. They are fast growing shrubs and the wood is weak, so they break branches easily in ice and sun storms. They grow best in a full sun location and like all willows, they can tolerate some flooding and can grow in wet areas where little else will grow. They, but will grow best and live the longest if the soil is well drained.
