Frequency of watering will depend upon soil type and weather, but basically speaking, most herbs will require about one-inch of water per week to keep them healthy. Amend your soil with organic matter to help it hold moisture, then use a mulch over the top of the soil to regulate evaporation. When you do water, water slowly so the water has a chance to percolate down and thoroughly wet the root masses of your plants. Enjoy your herb garden!
