|My children have several flower seed packets that are 3 & 4 years old. They wanted to try and plant flowers this year. What is the likelihood of the flowers sprouting? Most are perennials such as daisies and coneflowers.
|Many flower seeds are fairly long lived, including the two you named. I would not expect as high a germination rate, however, as I would with new seed. Also, some perennials will germinate better if mixed with damp soilless mix or vermiculite in a plastic bag and chilled in the fridge for several weeks just prior to planting.|
